Obituary of Diane Margaret Lamar

Columbia - Diane Margaret Lamar. Diane Margaret Lamar, 71, of Columbia, passed away unexpectedly on February 26, 2015. Diane was born and lived in Seven Oaks, Kent, England, until she was approximately twenty years of age. At that time, she moved to Columbia and has lived here since. Diane was proud of her British heritage. Trained as a Registered Nurse, Diane worked at Richland Memorial Hospital as a psychiatric nurse; and at Providence Hospital with cardiac patients. Diane was predeceased by a daughter, Hayley, and is survived by her husband, Dick Lamar; and a son, David Charles Lamar of Columbia. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 2827 Wheat Street, Columbia, SC 29205 at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 1, 2015, with a reception to follow at the church. Reverend Fletcher Montgomery will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family will be at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society, 127 Humane Lane, Columbia, SC 29209
