Obituary of Sherry Fowler Spurlock

Sherry Fowler Spurlock - Irmo - A Memorial Mass for Sherry Fowler Spurlock, 62, of Irmo will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 1529 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Father Gary Linsky will officiate. The family will receive friends at the residence from 5:00 - 9:00 PM Monday, February 16, 2015. Sherry passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 at her home, while engaging in one of her most favorite activities, babysitting her grandchildren. Born in Ft. Bragg, NC, she was a daughter of the late Leamon and Mary Jones Fowler. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She was also an avid Gamecock sports fan, and enjoyed spending time with family at the beach. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 40 years, Claude D. Spurlock, III; son, Claude D. Spurlock, IV (Julie) of Lexington; daughter, Kimberly Goodwin (Sam) of Irmo; 3 grandchildren, Jimmy and Piper Spurlock and Matthew Goodwin. She is also survived by three sisters and one brother. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by one sister and four brothers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church Preservation Fund, 1529 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29201
