Obituary of Laura Diane Merck

Laura Diane Merck, 20, of Gaston, passed away Sunday January 4, 2015 at Palmetto Richland Hospital surrounded by her family. Laura was born on April 7, 1994, in Lexington County she was the daughter of Amos William Merck and Sarah Howard Merck. Surviving in addition to her parents are two brothers, Stephen Mitchum and William Ross Merck; Laura's step-father, Daryl McCombs. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2015 in the Mausoleum of Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Burial will follow in the Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, January 9, 2015 at Woodridge Funeral Home. "The day Laura gained her wings" The Lord giveth & the Lord taketh away But who knew that Things would end this way We can't question God's will, but can't help but wonder why Why my friend, why my classmate, why God chose us to cry But in my heart I feel happy, your soul had been set free No more pain, no more suffering, with God you'll forever be So I just pray for strength for us as we remember the little things But know we'll never forget the day Laura gained her wings.
