Obituary of Blanche S Kennedy

West Columbia - A graveside funeral service for Blanche S. Kennedy, 93, of West Columbia, formerly of Denmark, SC, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Govan Baptist Church Cemetery on Cloud Street in Govan, SC. Mr. Ted Robertson will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6-8 PM Friday, December 26, 2014 at Woodridge Funeral Home, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Born in Govan on December 2, 1921, Mrs. Kennedy was a daughter of the late Willie A. and Sudelle Hoover Sanders. Blanche was a loving mother, devoted wife and faithful church member. She was the Secretary and Bookkeeper for her husband's business in Denmark, SC for over 50 years. She is survived by her son, John B. Kennedy, Jr. of West Columbia; sisters, Helen Stokes of Sylvania, GA, Margaret Miley of Brunson, SC and a brother, Jack Sanders of Rincon, GA. She was predeceased by her loving husband, John B. Kennedy, Sr., sisters, Merdrew Zorn and Stella Riley; brothers, J.W. Sanders, Manning Sanders and Chudley Sanders. Blanche's family would like to thank the staff at Agape Harbison Assisted Living and Agape West Columbia Assisted Living for the fine care they provided for her for 10 years.
