Obituary of Wayne Tarrant

Wayne Tarrant, 65, of Columbia entered into rest, Friday, November 14, 2014 peacefully at his home. Born April 28, 1949 in Columbia, he was the son of Edythe Tarrant Jones and the late Roddy Tarrant. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Ralph Jones. Mr. Tarrant is survived by his wife, Gail; son, Phillip; and daughter, Laurie. "Big Daddy" is also survived by grandchildren, Haylee, Caden, Rolan and Tristyn. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to Amedisys Home Health & Hospice and a special thank you to Dr. Robert Amory and Dr. J. Allan Hicks for their care and friendship through the years. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. (Noon) to 2:00 P.M., on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Woodridge Memorial & Funeral Home, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made, in memory of Wayne, to a charity of your choice. "Big Daddy" would turn the world upside down to get his family and friends what they wanted.
