Obituary of Michelle O. Traylor

Michelle was born on December 13, 1949 in Macon, GA to Phillip Thomas Ott and Carolyne Louise (Tanner) Ott. Michelle was a kind soul that had never met a stranger. She constantly helped those around her and was an outstanding cook. Michelle was known for her "tell you like it was" attitude. She was an excellent artist and enjoyed painting and drawing. Mrs. Traylor enjoyed animals of all sorts. From pot belly pigs to cats and dogs, she cared deeply for all of them. Even though she cared for all of God's creatures, she did not care much for lizards. Of all the things she loved, it was her family she cherished the most. The family dinners, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren were her greatest joys. Michelle was as fiery as she was kind. Her sharp wit and broad smile will be dearly missed. Mrs. Traylor is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 44 years, Larry H. Traylor of Columbia, SC; a daughter, Amanda (Edward) Traylor Scott of Swansea SC and a son, Robert (Stacy) Hugh Traylor, Sr. of North SC. Michelle also leaves behind sister in laws, Sherry (David) Elders of Columbia, SC and Robbie (Tony) Knighten of Jacksonville FL. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Robert Traylor Jr., Megan L. Scott, Makayla Traylor, Edward Scott Jr. and Loralei Traylor. Michelle also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Thompsons Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Highway, Lexington SC 29073 on Wednesday November 5, 2014 from 5 PM until 7 PM. Graveside services will be held in Woodridge Memorial Park located at 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072 on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 1 P.M. with Pastor Mark Bredholt officiating.
