Obituary of James E. Meador

Columbia-James E. Meador, 82, of Columbia, husband of the late Silvia Grunert Meador, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Born in Washington, DC on July 13, 1932, to the late James Edward and Ella Barrow Meador. . He was a retired Sgt. Major from the U.S. Army and was of the Methodist faith. Surviving are daughter, Tina Ann McNeill; granddaughter, Kelsey Owens; sister, Mary L. Bruce; brother, Herman Meador; three grandchildren and caregiver, Pat Rodgers. In addition to his wife, Mr. Meador was predeceased by a brother, George Meador. Services will be private.
