Obituary of Alton Tee Thompson

GASTON - A memorial service for Alton Tee "Bubba" Thompson, Jr. will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Fish Hatchery Road Church of God, 3249 Fish Hatchery Road, Gaston, SC 29053. Rev. Wendell Hendrix will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the church prior to the service. Woodridge Funeral Home, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072 assisted the family. Bubba Thompson died October 25, 2014 at Agape Hospice House. Born in Cleveland, MS, he was a son of Alton T. Thompson, Sr. and Martha Lucille Cooper Poss. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing the guitar and his dogs. Bubba is survived by his father, Alton Tee Thompson, Sr. (Starr) of Cayce; mother, Martha Cooper Poss (Clay) of West Columbia; long-time girlfriend Ellen Heyward; brothers, Dale Thompson (Mary) of Lexington, Donny Thompson (Sheila) of West Columbia; sister, Lisa T. Corley (George) of Lexington, and a large and loving extended family.
