Obituary of Gloria Belle Ulmer

COLUMBIA-Gloria Belle Ulmer, 80, of White Oak Manor, passed away on October 17, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Harry Eugene Ulmer, Sr. and Georgena Lever Ulmer and lived her entire life in the Columbia area. She was a lifelong member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Ms. Ulmer faced many challenges during her life, many difficult, some insurmountable. She accepted these challenges and lived a happy life always with her parents until their passing. Ms. Ulmer is survived by brother Ed Ulmer, West Columbia; niece The Rev Susan Ulmer, Beaufort; nephews Gene Ulmer (Pat), York, VA; Ernie Ulmer (Denise), Statesville, NC; Phillip Ulmer, Tokoyo, Japan; Cash Ulmer (Stephanie), Orlando, FL; Chris Ulmer (Nancy), Orlando, FL; great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. She was predeceased by brothers Harry Eugene Ulmer, Jr., and Ernest "Buddy" Ulmer. The family would like to thank the caregivers at White Oak Manor where she lived for many years for their superb care. A graveside service celebrating the life of Ms. Ulmer will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 with The Rev. Jeri Katherine Sipes of Wesley Memorial United Church officiating. Visitation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, Columbia.
