Obituary of Francis Joseph Hunt

Francis Joseph Hunt, 78, husband of the late Betty McDowell Hunt of fifty-one years, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 16, 2014, 2 pm, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service in the Mausoleum Chapel. Woodridge Funeral Home is assisting the family. Mr. Hunt was born October 22, 1935, to the late Paul and Anna Louise Whelan Hunt. Mr. Hunt served twenty-two years in the U.S. Army and was fortunate to have traveled around the world. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Jackson Construction and Supply after twenty years. Surviving are a daughter; Beverly H. Lemmons (Mark), a son; Michael A. Hunt (Debra), five grandchildren; Amanda Holyfield, Jennifer Lemmons, Michaelia A. Phillips (Chris), Jimmy Kirk Hunt (Karen) and Bobby McCuthcheon; eight great-grandchildren, two brothers; Jim Hunt (Carol), Harry Lee Hunt (Carla) and two sisters; Jane Hunt Ebert (Bob)and Margaret Hunt Geisler (Jerry).
