Obituary of David Henry Bright

David Henry Bright, 78, of West Columbia, SC passed away peacefully in his home on August 25th with his wife, Frances Bright and nephew, Robbie Wheeler by his side. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. prior to service in the Chapel of Celestial Memorial Gardens. Woodridge Funeral Home is assisting the family. Surviving to Cherish his memory are his loving wife of 58 years, Frances Wheeler Bright; Daughters, Ann Stewart and husband Lynn, Kathy Bright and companion Steve Speaks, Jackie Hutchins and husband David; grandchildren, Amanda Whitney and companion John Bodie, Joshua Hutchins, Kimberly Havens and her husband Doug; great grandchildren, Jordan Whitney, Lexi Whitney, Ayden Whitney, Ashley Hutchins and Airalynn Havens; and sister, Polly Weathersby. He was predeceased by his parents, Nathanial Bright and Mattie Lee Martin Bright; siblings, Bill Bright, Blondell McLemore, Leecy Bright, Retha Fink, Grace Hill; and great grandson, Peyton Whitney. David Bright was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He also started and ran his own business for 50+ years. He will be greatly missed!
