Dear Genie, Cathy, Lesley and all those who knew and loved Ted: I was heartbroken when I heard of Ted's passing. I called my 34 year old son, who hadn't seen Ted in perhaps 20 years, and told him about Ted. He said, "I am so sorry to hear that. He was such a great guy". That about sums it up. David hadn't seen Ted in ages and yet his most vivid impression was that he " was a great guy". That is so true. Ted was kind, generous, pleasant and never without a smile. He made all who met him feel welcome. He was also a very wise man. I made sure to listen intently to him because when he spoke, he spoke with clarity and wisdom. Ted made everyone feel like a friend. Most importantly, Ted adored his children and grandchildren. That was evident. And they in turn, adored him. He was absolutely devoted to his wife, Camille. As a husband, he was exemplary. All those who have been touched by Ted are better for it. The world has lost an amazing human being. He will be forever in our hearts. Our hearts and love is with you in this most difficult time. Leslie, the day you and your dad came on the Mt Horeb 39 & Holding trip to Bishopville is a precious memory for all of us who got to know him that day. His smile and warm sense of humor were a delight and the love that you showed him was a model for us all. What a blessing you both were that day. My prayers for you and your family are for our loving Lord's comforting arms to be around you in the coming days.

To the Stutts family,
You have my deepest condolences for your losss. I still called Ted "Mr, Stutts," simply out of respect for all he meant to our family, and especially my dad through the years. I have many fond memories of mowing the grass for him, blowing off the roof, etc. when I was younger. Mr. Stutts always paid me, and my brother, about double what anyone else did. He always made you feel important. He was always ready and willing to help someone else in need, yet not too proud to ask for help when he needed it. The world would be a better place if more followed his example, in both senses. I want to say a special "thank you" for the friendship he shared with my dad over these last 6 years since mom passed away. He has been his one, true, consistent friend and has been a true God-send to dad and to our family. Dad already feels such a void in his day and in his life without Ted. Yet he knows full well that his faith has him home with his Lord, and we will see him again soon in heavenly bliss. May the Lord grant you all His peace.
Sincerely,
Terry Buchmann

Dear Camille, Jeannie, Leslie and Cathy and families, we were sorry to learn of Ted's passing -- he was a great friend to us. I remember the first time Fred met Ted up at the driving range when we had first moved to Seabrook Island!. We knew very few people, but Ted invited us go out to dinner and that is how our wonderful friendship with Ted and Camille began! We had so many fun dinners at the Seabrook condo and our home! As we got to know Ted better we discovered that no matter what or who we talked about -- Ted knew them! He certainly never met a stranger! Once when the three of us played golf at Seabrook, Ted was lingering on the hole we just played and when he caught up Ted said he recognized the maintenance guy cutting the green and went over to talk with him! Ted was so good hearted, you just had to love him. I can still see Ted and Camille riding their bikes to our house where they stored them while they were in Columbia. Ted Stutts was a one of a kind guy and will be missed by many. Please know that your families are in our hearts and prayers, Love, Fred and Kaye Ristow

Genie, Bob, Camille, and Kaitlin,
Ted was a blessing to many, including to us as we came to know him over the years.
The visit last year at your home seemed to make time stand still and brought back good times…very special. We mostly remember Ted's sense of humor, his love for his family, and how much he enjoyed his granddaughters.
Nick and I hope the memories you shared with your dad bring you peace as you go through the following days.
Our thoughts are with you. We send our love. Carol and Nick Limperos
