Obituary of Claude R Pound

Claude R Pound, 93, of Columbia entered into rest on Friday, May 30, 2014. Born in Gaston, SC on May 27, 1921 he was the son of the late Claude W. Pound and Minnie Louzelle Mack Pound. Mr. Pound served his country proudly in the US Army Air Corp. during WWII as a B-29Pilot. He worked in the Laboratory at Savannah River Plant and also worked as an Engineer for DuPont. He was a member of Centennial ARP Church. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Camille O. Pound; daughters, Susan P. Boles of Irmo, SC and Deborah P. Stokes of Lexington, SC; son, Dr. Daniel Pound of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren, Melissa B. McAllister and Carrie Boles. A private graveside service was held Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road Lexington SC 29072. The family entrusted Woodridge Funeral Home in handling the arrangements.
