Obituary of Herbert Waters

Herbert "Hub" Holmes Waters, 80, of Lexington passed away Monday, May 5, 2014. Born in Yazoo County, Mississippi on October 14, 1933 he was the son of the late Wyatt Smith Waters and Mattie Luby Waters. A Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 3pm at Lexington United Methodist Church, 309 E. Main Street Lexington SC 29072. Visitation will be held from 2pm until the hour of service at the church. Memorials may be made to Lexington United Methodist Church. Woodridge Funeral Home is assisting the family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emma Patricia Waters; daughters, Shelly Pleu (William) of Canton, GA and Lisa Sloan of Lexington, SC; brother, David Waters (Rea) of Bentonia, MS; sister-in-law, Lucy Waters of Clinton, MS; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his son Kelly Louis Waters and nine brothers and two sisters.
