Obituary of Jimmy D Myers

Mr. James D. "Jimmy" Myers, III died on February 19, 2014 at his residence. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 3pm at St. Andrew's Baptist Church, 230 Bush River Rd., Columbia. A son of James D. Myers, Jr. and Sherry McClung Myers, of Pageland, he was born in Charleston, WV , moved to Pageland, SC at the age of five and then to Columbia when he began studying media arts at USC. He earned a black belt in karate, an achievement that set the stage for the rest of his life. He also had the ability to make people laugh and smile. He is predeceased by his two grandfathers, Ronald McClung and James D. Myers, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Christina Alexandria "Andria" Teal, Columbia; his parents, a son, Kendal Drake Myers, Pageland and his grandmothers, Betty Myers and Karen Davis.
