Obituary of Billie Joyce Linsig Rose

Billie Joyce Linsig Rose passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014. Born on July 23, 1936 in Hampton, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late William and Florence Linsig. She attended Wesley College in Dover, Delaware where she was active in many campus and student activities in 1957. After graduation she entered the Airline Industry and worked for American Airlines for several years as a Stewardess based out of Kennedy and LaGuardia Airports in New York City. She was active on different boards for 15years at St. Peter's Catholic Church and also served on the board at St. Joseph Catholic Church for several years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was also an active member of the Cayce Women's Club for 25years. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children and grandchildren, Deborah Ann and her husband, Steve Marsh, Sr. of Mt. Pleasant, SC and their children, Steven Jr, Christopher and Rebecca; Billie Theresa and her husband, Ray Lorenz and their son, Derrick Raybon of Cayce, SC; Alan P. Rose, Jr and fiancé, Maureen and their daughter, Natasha of Peabody, Mass.; and Kevin Michael Rose of Cayce, SC. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband, Alan P. Rose, Sr. In lieu of flowers the family request donation to be made to SC Mental Health, 2414 Bull Street Columbia SC 29202, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 3600 Devine Street, Columbia SC 29205 or the charity of one's choice. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 3600 Devine Street Columbia, SC 29202. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 530pm until 730pm at their mothers residence, 713 Jansen Avenue, Cayce SC 29033. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia SC.
