Obituary of Karen Ann Brennan

Karen Ann Brennan, born July 27, 1967 passed away February 19, 2014 ending a long battle with medical problems. She was a Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and beloved friend. She had an enormous heart and wouldn't turn her back on anyone. She tried to help all those she met. She made life bearable for so many in her life and had a charisma that made people flock to her. She was a wonderful person and a great member of her family. She was always there and tried to cheer up everyone. She tried to make their lives better. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Jack Steenbergen; grandparents; aunt, Francis Botham; sister, Susan Elizabeth Brennan. She is survived by 4 siblings, Tim, Twin sister Tricia, Beth, and Mark; parents, Thomas Brennan of Orange, CA, and Shirley Steenbergen of Columbia, SC. She passed away unexpectedly in her sleep and our Lord is now watching over her. Karen will be sorely missed and her love will last in our hearts forever, because we will never forget her outgoing personality. Karen dearly loved her Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pastors Discretionary Fund or the Fran Wood Quilters at Virginia Wingard Memorial United Methodist Church, 1500 Broad River Road, Columbia, SC, 29210. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00am at the church. The family will receive visitors immediately following the service.
