Obituary of James W Goodman

James "Woody" Goodman, 65, of Lexington passed away November 3, 2013. Born on October 4, 1948 in Columbia, SC he was the son of the late James Claude Goodman and Patricia Squires Goodman. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda Anne Blizzard Goodman; daughter, Patricia Michele Wine (Fredrick Prentice Wine); 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother and his son, Johnny Alan Goodman. Mr. Goodman retired after 25years of service as a Captain with the Columbia Fire Department. He was also employed with Redi-Craft Inc for 30years and Lexington Pawn and Gun for 8 years. He was an avid Hunter and Outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and friends while in the country. He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and friend that will be missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held from 6-8pm Friday, November 8, 2013 at Red Bank Baptist Church officiated by the Reverend Butch Powell.
