Obituary of Clarence Wesley McLemore

PELION—Memorial service with military honors for Clarence Wesley McLemore, 67, of Pelion will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Pastor Marilyn Chisholm will officiate. Mr. McLemore passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Clarence Lavern McLemore and Elizabeth Warren McLemore. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy and was a painter for more than 20 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching football games with his grandson. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his granddaughter, "Daisy". He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Surviving are his daughter, Jerri Lishka of Pelion; two grandchildren, Ian and Midajah McLemore; sister, Barbara Glenn of Pelion; three brothers, Marty McLemore of West Columbia and Billy and Henry McLemore both of Columbia; best friend, Jimmie Williamson. He is also survived by a large and loving extended family that loved him very much and will miss him deeply.
