Obituary of Joseph Majar

COLUMBIA—Joseph Majar, 81, US Army, retired of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. Born in Aberdeen, Washington May 1, 1932, he was a son of the late Joe Majar and Katie Basich Majar. Graveside services with military honors will be held Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11am in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to HEART, Help Every Animal Reach Tomorrow, a cooperative program through Pawmetto Lifeline, 1275 Bower Parkway Columbia SC 29212. Woodridge Funeral Home will be assisting the family. Mr. Majar is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Evelyn Majar, sons, Joseph Michael Majar and Mitchell Neal Majar, daughter, Monique Culbertson, grandchildren, Neal Culbertson, Brooks Majar, Brittonie Majar, Katie Culbertson, Mitchell Majar, Gracie Majar and 4 great-grandchildren.
