Obituary of Dorothy M. Powers

WEST COLUMBIA-Services for Dorothy M. Powers, 72, of West Columbia, will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 12 noon at Woodridge Mausoleum Chapel, with Pastor Gene Rowell officiating. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Mrs. Powers died on Saturday, August 3, 2013. Born in Macon, Georgia, she was the daughter of late WJ Howard and Mary Florence Bishop Wiley. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Rish of West Columbia; son, Ricky Powers (Mandy) of Lexington; four grandchildren, Kenny, Bryan, Ashley and Kimberly; five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexis, Aiden, Bryanna and Zoey; sisters, Evelyn Whelchel of Greenville, Shirley Martz of Ohio, and Carolyn Brown (Marion) of Alabama; brothers, Ted Wiley (Debbie) of Pelion and Randy Wiley (Vickie) of West Columbia; also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Samantha and sister, Lois Frick.
