Obituary of Lou Bertha Haynes

Columbia—A chapel service for Lou Bertha Haynes, 80, of Columbia, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Greenlawn Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Doug Jefferson, John Jefferson, Mike Jefferson, Devin Jefferson, Robert Haynes and Joseph Yon. The family will greet friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service in the mausoleum Chapel. Mrs. Haynes, beloved wife of the late John William Haynes, Sr., passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013. Born in North, she was a daughter of the late Marvin R. Chavis and Ilamae Lewis Chavis. Surviving are her daughter, Pamela Taylor (Allen) of Lehigh Acres, FL; son, John William Haynes, Jr. (Mary) of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Douglas, Angela, Michael, John and John III; great-grandchildren, Devin, Shyann, Liberty, Chase, Bryce, Emily and Liam; brother, Clinton Chavis , also survived by several, nieces, nephews and cousins.
