Obituary of Richard A. Lattner

COLUMBIA: A Memorial Service for Dr. Richard A. Lattner, 83, will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 2 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1 p.m. Dr. Lattner went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 20, 2013. Burial with full military honors will take place at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. Born in St. Louis, MO to Carl and Mary Ellen Lattner in 1929, he practiced Dentistry there for over 30 years and also taught at the Washington University Dental School until his retirement in 1989. He was also a Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Surviving are his dear wife of 62 years, Carol; a daughter Connie Welden of Irmo, SC; three sons Dr. James Lattner of La Porte, Texas, John Lattner of Chelsea, Alabama and David Lattner of Statesboro, Georgia; 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church 6952 St. Andrews Road Columbia, SC 29212. Arrangements have been entrusted to Woodridge Funeral Home Lexington; SC.
