Obituary of Margie W. Boyett

Margie W. Boyett “Nana”- A graveside service will be held at Woodridge Memorial Park , 138 Corley Mill Road Lexington, SC 29072 on Friday, August 30th, 2019 at 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Boyett, 88, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, August 27th, 2019. Born in Wingate, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Hulon and Martha Rogers. She was also the wife of the late Earl LaVon Boyett, whom she was married to for 59 years. Mrs. Boyett was the pillar of strength, encouragement, and stability for her family. In addition to the immense love she had shown her family, her love of elephants, margaritas, Mexican food, “Law and Order” and the proud state of Texas was evident in any conversation you had with her.

Margie is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Dowd (Donnie) of Gaston, Sisters; Paunice Cartwright (Bill) and Patricia Finley, grandchildren; Carie and Bryan Knight, Joel (Christie), and Yvette, great-grandchildren; Hayley, Von and Aiden, nephews; Raimondo, Randy and Mike, neices; Katherine and Teresa and many other beloved family members and friends.

The family would like to extend thanks to everyone who helped them navigate through this difficult journey with their cherished Mother, Nana, and Marge. A special thanks to Nurse Kayla,Ms. Jackie (her CNA), and Chaplain David from Agape Hospice, as well. Her daughter wants to express that they gave her the courage and strength to endure.
