Obituary of Beth M. Marthers

OBITUARY – Beth M. Marthers – LEXINGTON – Services for Beth M. Marthers, 57, of Lexington will be made available on her Facebook page when arrangements are complete. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.

Beth Marthers passed away December 23, 2018. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Ellen K. Marthers and Wesley Lee Marthers. Beth was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who loved camping, fishing, tubing, shrimping and arts and crafts. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor, compassion for others, and for helping people. Family members will remember her for her delicious chicken and dumplings and making cookies for the holidays.

Beth is survived by her daughter, Amber Kirkland (Jason) of Lexington; granddaughters, Taylor and Emily Kirkland; sister, Cindy Baum (Michael) of Blythewood; brother, Bruce Marthers (Deborah) of Camden, and Wesley Marthers (Lynn) of Dillon; step-mother, Lynn Marthers. Beth is also survived by a large and loving group of nieces and nephews, and her beloved friend, Emily Croson.
