Obituary of Darius Welton Roof

Funeral services for Darius Roof, of Lexington, SC, will be held 11: 00 AM, Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Woodridge Funeral Home Mausoleum Chapel, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072.  The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Monday, June 5, 2023, at Woodridge Funeral Home, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072.

Mr. Roof, 91, passed away Friday, June 2, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.  Born in Lexington, SC, he was the son of the late Joseph John and Ellie Marcella Keisler Roof.  He was the owner of Roof’s Nursery and Clear Springs Farm. 

Darius is survived by his son Ronald Roof (Brenda) of North; daughter, Diane Roof of Lexington; 4 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren and cousins. 

In addition to his parents, Darius was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, E. Celestine Roof.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fish Hatchery Road Church of God.
