Obituary of Doris Bevis Taylor

Funeral Services for Doris Bevis Taylor, 87, of Cayce, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Lakeside Gazebo of Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC (in case of inclement weather, service will be held at the Woodridge Chapel Mausoleum). Rev. Richard Humphries will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Gazebo for one hour prior to the service. Doris Taylor passed away at her home November 18, 2022. Born in Jonesville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Lee and Janie Mae Bevis.

Doris is survived by her son, Al Taylor (Wendy); grandchildren, Alexandra and Ethan; and sister, Patricia Robinson. In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Francis Alvin “Boogie” Taylor, and son, Edward Lee Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Columbia, 1306 Hampton Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
