Obituary of John Rhett Gantt

John Rhett Gantt, 51, of Lexington, passed away on Monday, October 31,2022. He was born on July 30, 1971, to the late Max Gantt Jr. and the late Rhoflen Hutto Gantt.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lisa Gantt; children, Thomas Hunter Gantt (Rebecca), Randy Gantt (Kimberly), and Owen Gantt (Christina); grandchildren Axl, Hayden, and Chloe; siblings, Lesha Frye, Max Gantt III (Nancy), and Debra Sprinkle (Steve); nephew and niece, Chad Sox and McKenzie Sox; and several other family and friends.

John was a loving husband and father. He was proud of his sons and their accomplishments. After graduating from Brookland-Cayce High School in 1990, John continued his career as a pressman at Wentworth Printing. John was a talented bass player and had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor. Although he will be greatly missed, the memories he created with loved ones will be forever cherished.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Reverend Stephen McNeill will be conducting the service at Fellowship Baptist Church located at 4238 Augusta Road Lexington, SC 29073.
