Obituary of Harvey Lee Shealy

Harvey Lee Shealy, Jr, 87, of Lexington, SC, went to be with the Lord on August 28th, 2022 with his wife by his side. Harvey was the beloved husband of 64 years to Claudia Shealy. He was born June 24th, 1935 in Lexington, SC to the late Minnie and Harvey L. Shealy, Sr. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Elizabeth Lindler; son, Ricky Whetstone.

Harvey, a Navy veteran, retired from the USC School of Medicine. He loved God, Church, Sunday school and being out on the water fishing. He absolutely adored being able to spend time with his grandsons, great grandchildren and his great-great grandchildren.

Harvey is survived by his loving wife Claudia Shealy; his daughter, Elaine; his grandchildren, Rick, Jenny, Brian, and Rebecca; his great grandchildren, Ashleigh, Nick, Jon, Haleigh, Buck, and Caleb; and his great-great grandchildren, Kami, Benjamin and Emberlynn.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 1st, 2022, at State Street Baptist Church, 1420 State Street, Cayce, SC 29033. The family will receive guests after the service. There will be a burial service with US Navy honors at Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 3:00 PM, Friday, September 9, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, Harvey's family would like memorials to be made to his church, State Street Baptist Church, 1420 State Street, Cayce, SC 29033.
