Carolyne was predeceased by her parents, Robert Thomas Bone, Sr. and Claire Elizabeth Woodward Bone.  Her surviving siblings are Tommy Bone, Keith Bone (Bonnie T.), Julie Strasburger (Frank) and Bonnie Rossiter (BJ).

Carolyne is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, James C. Carter Jr, and daughter Nancy Raines (Kevin), Jim Carter (Angella) and John Carter (Angie). She is also survived by her Raines Grandchildren: Jessica, Lauren and Matthew; Carter (Jim) Grandchildren: Ashley, Makenzie, Tyler, Brooklyn, and Ryan; Carter (John) Grandsons: Benjamin, Henry, and Samuel. Carolyne was devoted in her faith and loved her Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in West Columbia, SC.

Carolyne attended Lower Richland High School and was an excellent student. She was homecoming Queen Runner-Up, Cheerleader, and invited to attend Girls State. In addition to raising her three children, Carolyne was a teacher’s assistant at Spartanburg Technical College, managed an antique store, and worked at local florists.

Carolyne fought an autoimmune form of liver disease for the last fifteen years of her life, rarely complained and maintained her sense of humor and loving kindness to the very end.  She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

The family would like to thank the compassionate and loving caregivers LaToya, Chris, Lakeisha, Tanna, Lashanda and Van of The Neighborhood Nurses Group, as well as Abbey Road Hospice nurse, Kathy Iglesia, for her prompt responses and management of difficult details, as well as her loving care for our family.

A private service will be held at Woodridge Funeral Home Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Carolyne’s honor to American Liver Foundation. https://liverfoundation.org
