Obituary of Silvana O. Mims

Funeral services for Mrs. Silvana Mims, 86, of Lexington, will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday July 1, 2022 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park. Pastor Dennis Cauldwell will officiate. Interment in Woodridge Memorial Park will follow the service. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service at the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park.

Silvana Mims passed away June 24, 2022. Born in 1935 in Trieste, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sergio Guilemo Spetti. Silvana met her husband while he was stationed in Italy, and supported him in his military career while raising 2 children. After his retirement, they opened a restaurant, Bob and Deb’s Diner on Frink Street in Cayce, SC, which successfully operated for many years.

Silvana was an avid water skier in her younger years, and was an active line dancer for more than 25 years. Silvana had a variety of musical gifts and loved to sing. Additionally, she was a talented stained glass artisan. She will be missed by many and her memory lives in our hearts forever.

Silvana is survived by her loving son, Robert W. “Bobby” Mims (Marcia Mills) of Elgin. In addition to her parents, Silvana was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert L. Mims, and her beloved daughter, Debra Ellison.
