
Obituary of Bonnie Gayle Bass
Bonnie Gayle Bass, 50, passed away March 28, 2022 at her home in Lexington. Born in Sumter, South Carolina, on November 10, 1971, she was a daughter of Nancy Whieldon Peeples and the late Robert Edward Gayle.
Bonnie graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, and worked for Avaya Technologies. She enjoyed attending Carolina football games, going to the beach, reading, spending time with her family and friends and the occasional pampering. Bonnie had a love for animals and helping others. She dearly loved her family and friends. She will be forever in our hearts and dearly missed. Rest in peace now.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Ben Bass, III of Lexington; her mother, Nancy Peeples of Irmo; sisters, Natalie (Michael) Carter of Lexington, and Meghan Peeples of Irmo; aunt, Jane Whieldon of Longs; nephew, Grayham Carter; niece, Emily Grace Carter; father-in-law, Ben Bass Jr.; mother-in-law, Carol Ann Bass; sister-in-law, Jennifer Walling.
Bonnie was pre-deceased by her father, Robert “Bobby” Gayle; her maternal grandparents, Joe E. and Grace (Harrington) Whieldon; her paternal grandparents, Robert L. and Jennie (Plowden) Gayle; uncles, Joe E. Whieldon Jr, Charles L. Whieldon; and brother-in-law, Christopher Bass.
A memorial service for Mrs. Bonnie G. Bass will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Reverend Frank T. Seignious, III will officiate. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service at the Mausoleum Chapel. The family will also receive friends after the service at 219 Forecastle Court, Lexington, SC, following the service.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Bonnie's memorial service will be webcast, so that those who cannot attend her service in person can watch the service live on a computer or tablet. The link to watch the service is here
