Obituary of June Williams Jovanelly

June Williams Jovanelly (“Granny”) passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Bethune, South Carolina on November 17, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Clifford N. Williams and Janet W. Williams.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and Lota Master Chapter.  She was employed with McCain Financial Group for twenty-one years.

She is survived by her daughter, Toni Fuller (Michael) of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughters, Heather Jovanelly, Ashley Jovanelly, Brandi Akey (Logan), and Kristen Ambrose (Kris), all of Columbia, SC; grandson, Chandler Fuller of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Glenda Powell of Lancaster, SC; and brother, Jerry Williams (Hilda) of West Columbia, SC;  many nieces and nephews, and three great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William A. Jovanelly; her son, William Brett Jovanelly; grandson, Nicholas Taylor Watford; brother Sloan Williams; and sister, Violet Roach.  Services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Woodridge Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lutheran Hospice, and longtime caregiver, Angela Williams, for all of their loving and attentive care.  Prior to her passing, “Granny” requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in honor of her late grandson, Nicholas “Taylor” Watford, to the Taylor Watford Foundation, 989 Knox Abbott Drive, Suite 105, Cayce, SC  29033.
