David Cashwell

Obituary of David Bradley Cashwell

David Bradley Cashwell, 39, passed away on Saturday, October 23rd, at his home in North Augusta, SC.

David was born June 11, 1982, in Columbia to William “Bill” and Sherry Bradley Cashwell, who now reside in Laurens, SC.  In addition to his parents, David is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Kimberly Cashwell of Marion, NC; their children, David’s niece and nephew, Quinn and Will; maternal grandmother, Genevieve Bradley; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

After high school, David elected to attend Clemson University, where he majored in financial management and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.  Following receipt of his Bachelor of Science in May of 2005, he accepted a position with Ferguson Enterprises, where he worked and exceled, moving to various locations and several different positions over his sixteen-year career.

In addition to his family, David is survived by fraternity brothers, friends and coworkers across the country who knew and loved him dearly.  Ever loyal to his alma mater, Saturdays in Death Valley were his home.

David will be remembered as smart, hard-working, loyal, and kind.  But, he’ll probably be remembered most for his smile, which accompanied his ability to instantly make friends wherever he went.  Whether he was dressing up as a beloved holiday character for his friends’ children or helping friends through tough times, his “it’s all good” attitude made David a good friend, a good man and a Clemson Tiger through and through.  He will be sorely missed.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, November 5th, 2021 at the Lakeside Gazebo at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072.  Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.  A visitation will be held in the gazebo following the service.
