Obituary

 

Philip Henry Jumper went home to be with his LORD September 4, 2021 at Lexington Community Hospice House after a brief illness. Mr. Jumper was the son of the late Theodore Henry Jumper and Gaynelle Redmond Jumper of Swansea.  He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda Chaney Jumper of Lexington, his children, Katherine Jumper Caldwell of Columbia, Michael Andrew Jumper and wife Jessie of Lexington, his two grandchildren, Colin Andrew Jumper of Charleston and Kaitlyn Grace Jumper of Lexington, his two sisters, Susan Jumper of Swansea and Janis Daugherty of Columbia, as well as numerous extended family.  Mr. Jumper was an active member of First Baptist Church of Lexington where he was dedicated to serving Christ through the homeless outreach ministry of the JOY Life Group.  Mr. Jumper was a man of God who spent his life loving the Lord and cherishing his family. 

A Celebration of Life service for friends and family will be held at First Baptist Church of Lexington Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 3:00 PM.  The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to First Baptist Church of Lexington, JOY Life Group Homeless Ministry.
