Obituary of Dave Haycook
Ralph David “Dave” Haycook, 65, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2021. Dave was born December 5, 1955 in Columbus, OH, a son of the late Robert Minor Haycook and Mina Eileen O’Neil Haycook.
Upon completing his education, Dave enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country for four years. After his military service, he was employed in the printing industry as a Sales Representative until his recent retirement.
Dave was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and enjoyed visiting the Great Smoky Mountains. As some of his hobbies, he was a train enthusiast and loved woodworking.
Dave is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Kathleen Ann McCrary Haycook; a daughter, Mariah Lynn Haycook of Lexington; a brother, Michael Lee Haycook of LaRue, OH, as well as brother and sister’s in law, multiple nieces, nephews and very close family friends.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Allen Haycook and a sister, Katherine Louise Haycook.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 10th with military honors.
