Obituary of Marsha Brunson Lorick

Marsha Brunson Lorick, of Columbia, SC, was called home Monday, September 19, 2011, after a brave battle with cancer. Born in North Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julian Wesley Brunson. Marsha is survived by her two daughters, Marnie Walls and her husband Mitch, Wanda Brown and her husband Mark; grandchildren, Kinley and Parker Brown; brother, Wesley Brunson, Sr; nephew, Wesley Brunson Jr.; and was dearly loved by numerous family and friends. Marsha loved people and the same love was given back freely by just about everyone she ever met. Though she had many close relationships, her true joys were her children and grandchildren, for whom she always made time, despite her busy schedule. She was generous, often giving sacrificially to her family and compassionately opening her home to those in need. She was industrious, often working several jobs at once. However, her career as a hair stylist was her passion. She forged many friendships and relationships through her work and life. The family will be receiving friends and family from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Woodridge Funeral Home and her memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011, at Union United Methodist Church in Irmo, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marsha?s name to the American Cancer Society.
