Obituary of Mary W Herbert

Graveside services for Mary Weathersby Herbert, 91, of Columbia will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens 2603 Two Notch Road Columbia with Pastor Andrew Isenhower officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to St. Luke?s Lutheran Church, 1127 Olympia Avenue Columbia, SC 29201 or Palmetto Health Hospice, P.O. Box 7275 Columbia, SC 29202. Mrs. Herbert passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012. Born in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Warren and Collace Lee Weathersby. Mrs. Herbert was a member of St. Luke?s Lutheran Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Surviving sons Asa M. Herbert Jr of Columbia and Edward W. Herbert, Sr and his wife Sandra of Hopkins; grandchildren Edward W. ?Herbie? Herbert Jr and his wife Sharon of Columbia, Lisa Herbert Herndon and husband David of Lexington, Heather Herbert Thompson of Hopkins; great-grandchildren Bubba, Elisabeth and Ashley Herbert, Brantley and Cassidy Herndon, Chadley Ballard and Dalton Jones; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Herbert was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Asa M. Herbert, Sr; son Walter Gene Herbert; brothers Oscar Weathersby, Ralph Weathersby, Jack Weathersby and GA Weathersby; sisters Lucille Edrington, Faye Brown and Sara Hamilton all originally of Columbia.
