Obituary of Diana Jean Sherfey

Diana Jean Sherfey, 68, of Chapin, SC passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon July 9, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Chapin Presbyterian Church 600 Old Lexington Highway Chapin, SC on Sunday, July 15th at 2 p.m. There will be a visitation and reception in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service Diana Jean Sherfey was born in San Mateo, California on June 13, 1944. She was the daughter of Bob White and Evelyn Doucette. Faithful wife, loving mother, dependable Grammy, and loyal friend, DeeDee is survived by her husband, Charles G. Sherfey, her daughter Michelle Moore-Shoults, grandsons, Grant, Houston, and Walker Moore, and by her son Marc R. Belliveau, and grandson, Haus, and her lifelong sister-friend Patricia Graham. DeeDee worked as a purchasing agent for 18 years in Culver City, California, and retired after 10 additional years at Georgia Tech. Her love for Jesus overflowed into her love for her family, her church, and the community. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chapin Presbyterian Church, 600 Old Lexington Hwy, Chapin, SC 29036, and designated for local missions or to Hospice Care of Tri County, 13795 C.R. Koon Hwy, Newberry, SC 29108.
