Obituary of William E Camp

Memorial service for William E. Camp, 89, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2012, at North Trenholm Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Trenholm Baptist Church, 6515 Trenholm Rd., Columbia, SC 29206 or The Life Church, P.O. Box 4004, Florence, SC 29502. Woodridge Funeral Home is assisting the family. Mr. Camp passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2012. He was born April 1, 1923 in Athens, TN. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, serving in the South Pacific. He played baseball at USC. Mr. Camp was known to many as the ?Candy Man?. Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Jacqueline Camp; daughters, Cindy Camp and step-daughter, Theresa Powell (Perry); sons, Rick Camp and step-son, Cliff Hendrix; also several beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Camp was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Dorothy Camp and five brothers.
