Obituary of John William Lewis

John Lewis LEXINGTON - Born in May 28, 1935 in Oakland, Maryland, John Lewis was a son of the late Charles and Blanche Lewis. He was a member of The Harvest Church and loved his family and was an avid golfer. He retired after many years as a Real Estate Broker. He was an Army National Guard veteran. Surviving are his daughter, Dottie Bratton (Scott) of Columbia; sons, John Lewis (Diane) and Bill Lewis (Sommer), all of Lexington; sisters, Mary Friend of Oakland, MD, Leona Nazelrod of Maryland, and Charlotte Eidman of Florida; brother, Robert Lewis of Oakland, MD; grandchildren, Jackie Jenkins (Wes), Landon Lewis, Tabitha Curtis (Chris), Nathan Lewis, Jillian Bratton and Jacob Bratton; great-grandchildren, Cheyanne Jenkins, Bridget Jenkins, Billy Jenkins. Funeral services for John Lewis will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in John's honor to Oliver Gospel Mission, 1100 Taylor Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
