Obituary of Patricia Ann Beason

Patricia Ann Beason - Pelion - Graveside funeral services for Patricia Ann Beason, 81, of Pelion, and formerly of Orangeburg, will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Gazebo at Woodridge Memorial Park in Lexington. Chaplain Chuck Byrd will officiate. The family will greet friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 12, 2018 prior to the service at Woodridge Funeral Home, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Mrs. Beason passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018. Born in Belmont, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Strickland and Connie Cloninger Strickland. Mrs. Beason grew up in the Eagle Mill Village of Belmont, NC, and enjoyed a wonderful life. She and her cousins were quite close, and she had 14 aunts and uncles and a large extended family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family very much, and lived her Christian faith every day. Patricia was a member of the West Columbia Seventh-Day Adventist Church, and she was very active and instrumental in the building and development of the church. She had retired from the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice, where she administered payroll. She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, James Beason, Sr., a farmer; daughter, Patricia Charlene Bodi ( John, III) of Irmo; grandson, Aaron Matthew Van Sickle; great granddaughter, Jada Elyse Van Sickle; step children, Matthew, Andrea, Anna, Andrew, Bryan, Bonnie, Kenneth Allen Beason; step- grandsons, Michah and Ciaus Beason. The family would like to thank the staff of Amedysis Hospice for their loving and attentive care.
