Rosa Lee Manning Hopkins, 82, resident of Lexington, wife of William “Rudy” Hopkins, passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2021.
Born May 20, 1939 in Foley, AL, she was the daughter of the late John Daniel and Elnor Kinsey Manning. Rosa was employed with White Knoll High School on the cafeteria staff for many years until her retirement. Following her retirement, she loved spending her time camping, fishing, gardening and cooking for her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was very proud of her family and loved them unselfishly. She instilled the love of family to all she met.
Surviving in addition to her loving husband of 62 years are two daughters, Debbie Yasmine of Jacksonville, FL and Vicki Hopkins of Lexington; a son, Steve Hopkins (Wendy) of Gilbert; three grandchildren, Jeffery Yasmine, Neil Hopkins and Nikki Hopkins. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family. She was preceded in death by a brother Earnest Manning.
Graveside services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, July 3rd at the lakeside gazebo in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service.
