Columbia, South Carolina - We are horribly saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Guy Spence at the age of 31.
Guy Spence was born on September 19, 1989, to Ken and Margaret Spence in Columbia, SC. He graduated from Chapin High School in 2008 and worked as the project coordinator at Sorinex.
Guy is survived by his parents, Ken and Margaret Spence, his siblings Morgan Gooler (Mike), Cynthia Spence, Kaitlyn Spence, Chad Spence, his grandparents Harville and Lavern Spence, Kathryn Rivers, his niece Cara Gooler, his nephew Colton Gooler, the love of his life, fiancee Callie Ayers, her sisters Brandy Whetstone (Kyle), Sara Ayers (Zach Herring), her niece Cadence Whetstone, her nephew Connor Whetstone, her mother Teresa Ayers (Ralph Archer), her father Stephen Ayers (Beth), fur baby Jasmine, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Guy loved music, karaoke, shagging, and dancing. He was the best Steve Harvey for Family Feud nights. He could make a friend with anyone. Everyone who knew him loved him. There will never be another Guy. He was there for everyone and anyone who needed him, We'd like to think Guy is enjoying a round of golf with his pup Ziggy by his side in Heaven.
A memorial service will be held at Chapin United Methodist Church on Thursday, June 10th at 2:00 pm. A celebration of life drop in gathering will be held from 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Clubhouse at Portrait Hill, 1090 Portrait Hill Drive, Chapin, SC 29036. In lieu of flowers, we ask you to donate to your favorite animal shelter in Guy's memory.
