Obituary of James W. Corder

OBITUARY – James W. “Boo” Corder – Pelion – Graveside services for James W. Corder, 56, of Pelion, will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Woodridge Memorial Park in Lexington. Pastor Terry Cagle will officiate. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service at Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072.

Boo Corder passed away November 23, 2020. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Henry Thomas Corder and Juanita Carrie Wingard. Boo was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who enjoyed fishing, gardening and walking. Boo was a great cook, and was known for his liver and onions. He enjoyed hanging out with his cousins, nieces and nephews, and had a wonderful relationship with his brother-in-law, Robert Broom.

James is survived by his wife, Kathy Corder; daughters, Hannah Corder of Augusta, GA, Christina Corder of Augusta, GA, Jessie Corder of Warrenville, SC; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Dalmer Broom (Robert) of Pelion, Gracie Hickerson of Newberry, Evettar Saint of Camden; brothers, Ralph Corder of Knoxville, TN, Pete Corder of Kentucky, and a large and loving extended family. In addition to his parents, Boo was predeceased by a brother, John Corder, and a daughter, Monica Corder.
