Obituary of Jason Todd Minick

OBITUARY – Jason Todd “Jamie” Minick – Columbia – Services for Jason Todd “Jamie” Minick, 50, of Columbia, will be private. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jamie Minick passed away September 5, 2020 at his home. Born in Newberry, SC, he was a son of Linda Marie Lowman and the late Larry Ralph Minick. Jamie was a very caring man; a fighter who bravely battled lung cancer, COPD, chronic bronchitis and emphysema. He was one of the best fathers that anyone could have asked for. Jamie enjoyed fishing and being with his family. Jamie rededicated his life to Christ in his later years, and was faithful to his church. He was employed by Bi-Lo stores as a Frozen Food and Dairy Manager.

In addition to his mother, Jamie is survived by his sons, James Alexander “Alex” Minick, of Columbia, Jason Todd Beckham of Columbia; aunts, Mary Jane Metts (Tom), Judy West (Mike), and a large and loving extended family. In addition to his father, Jamie was predeceased by an aunt, Janice Young; and both sets of grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Life Baptist Church, 2825 Ashland Road, Columbia, SC, 29210. The family would like to thank hospice employees Jackie Kendall and Latoya for their loving and dedicated care.
