Stan Colbert went Home to be with the Lord, July 1, 2020. Born in Throgs Neck, NY, he was a son of the late Stanley Lester Colbert and Christabel Gantt. He graduated from City University of New York, Baruch Campus, with a BA in Accounting. In 2013, Stanley retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 40 years of service. He and his wife, Marj, moved to Chapin to retire, and they joined the Columbia Presbyterian Church shortly thereafter, where Stan served as a Deacon.  He also created the website, “JisLord.org”, to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. Stan’s passion was helping people find a healthy, well-balanced church, and understand the basic non-negotiable elements that make up and characterize the Christian faith. He was also passionate about helping anyone in need; someone close to him, or a complete stranger's need, Stan was always available.

Stan is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Marj Colbert; sons, Sean Colbert of Texas, Stanley L. “Tan” Colbert, III of New York, Daniel “D” Colbert (Eizel) of Pennsylvania, Brandon Colbert of South Carolina; daughters, Carla McFall (Raoul) of Pennsylvania, Tennille Colbert-Roberts (Anthony) of Pennsylvania; step-son, Christopher Forbes of New York; eleven grandchildren; his brother, Tony “Jr.” Jameson (Olivia) of Georgia; his sister, Brenda Lyons of Georgia. Stan is also survived by his beloved cat, Rarity. In addition to his parents, Stan was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Colbert-Warren; and a brother, James Gantt.
