Obituary of Tammy Louise Stockton

Tammy Louise Stockton, 47, of Pelion,  A private memorial service will be held May 16th, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church of Pelion.


Tammy Louise Stockton passed away May 11th, 2020 surrounded by her family. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Stockton and Margaret Brown Lineberry.

Born April 9th, 1973, Tammy L. Stockton was one of five generations carrying the “Louise” name, beginning with her Grandma, Louise Brown. Tammy spent her childhood playing in the dirt and swimming. She loved going to the fair with her mother and Uncle Laverne. She enjoyed the time she had with her father in Idaho with Aunt Bobbie.

As she grew up, Tammy spent a lot of time in the loving care of her grandparents John and Geraldine Stockton and enjoyed life with her best friend and cousin, Stephanie McCaa. She was often referred to as “Tammy Doodle”.

Tammy loved Christmas and visiting family.

Into adulthood, she had two beautiful children and two amazing grandchildren who she loved spending time with. She would always greet the grandchildren with, “Hey Bug!” and a big smile.

Tammy will be missed and loved by her friends and family, until we meet again.

Tammy is survived by her mother; Margaret Brown Lineberry; son, Michael Lewis Allen of Irmo, daughter, Caitlin Louise Forquer (Tharron) of Pelion; grandchildren, Camme Louise and Scotland Allen Forquer. Tammy is also survived by her grandmother, Louise Brown, 95, of West Columbia, as well as a large and loving extended family. In addition to her father, Tammy was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, John Lewis Stockton and Geraldine Weed Stockton, as well as maternal grandfather, Woodrow Lewis Brown.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Lexington Medical Center for their tender care.
