Obituary of Eva Lynne Higgins

OBITUARY – Eva Lynne Higgins – Lynne Higgins passed away May 7, 2020. Born in Mineral Wells, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Clara “Kitty” Gainey Long and David Franklin Long.

Lynne lived life the only way one truly should, enjoying the simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, taking road trips and spending time with her granddaughter, Autumn.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who led by example of what a mother should be to her daughters and was the rock of her family. Lynne was a loyal friend and well loved by many. She was always there to lend a helping hand, going above and beyond to help those that needed her - without any questions or even having to ask.  She will be missed beyond comprehension by the many who knew and loved her.

Lynne is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Tim Higgins; daughters, Bonnie Truesdale (Brandon) of Purcellville, VA, Jessica Bennett of Hopkins, Autumn Higgins of Hopkins; brother, Mark Allen Long (Leslie Boyd Long) of Wilder, KY. Lynne is also survived by a large and loving extended family. Lynne was predeceased by her mother.

A Celebratory Wake for Eva Lynne Higgins, 56, of Hopkins, will be held on Wednesday, May 13 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the family home, 5420 Old Leesburg Road, Hopkins, SC. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.
