Bobby Ritchie passed away Friday, April 24, 2020. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Rudolph Albert Ritchie, Sr., and Julia Arledge Ritchie.

We are reading this because a loved on here on Earth has passed, and awaits to be awoken and reunited with all who have since passed, and others who will pass as time goes on. A man learning to walk just as each of us do on this Earth.  He was not perfect by any means, but I can honestly say, as his wife, that over the past several years since becoming ill finally learning to forgive and love self...which more times than not when becoming ill we begin seeking our lord God for answers.

It's sad sometimes it takes an illness to open ones heart to God, but since becoming ill and seeming to know his death was coming near, couragously confided in me that he hoped that God would forgive him for all the wrong he had done in his life; the wrong he had done to himself, and the wrong he had done to others. Witnessing this, I saw him change from someone that at times was not so pleasant to be around, to someone I enjoyed spending time with. So I asked each and every one of you who reads this, please never give up on anyone .

All of God's children deserve love and all of God's children are sinners. Some believe that some sins are more heinous than others but in the bible..a sin is a sin.

As his wife, I prayed for my Lord God to forgive my husband of his sins, and I believe he has been forgiven by our Lord and savior.

So I ask that if you pray, please pray for forgiveness which for some reason seems to be the hardest thing for one's heart to do...forgiving someone of a wrong doing, that has hurt another ...it is a very hard act of kindness and selflessness to do, but...

Know that the act of forgiving sets you free.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Kellie A. Ritchie; son, Matthew Chad Ritchie of Lexington, grandchildren, Bentley Matthew Ritchie, Levi KellyAnn Ritchie, Jackson David Ritchie; brother, Rudolph Albert Ritchie, Jr.; nieces, Tori Ritchie and Kyndra Picard; nephew, Rudolph Albert "Tripp" Ritchie, III.
